WORRIED ABOUT THE POSTAL STRIKE?
Dont be! We send all of our confirmations and tickets by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is mostly unaffected by the postal strike. However, if affected, we make alternative arrangements to ensure you receive your tickets in good time.
Please Note: your tickets are insured and claim can be made by royal mail not the sportsboxoffice. If we have sent the tickets and due to some reason royalmail did not deliver the tickets or post then we cannot re issue the tickets, you can make a claim by using your tracking number at royal mail.
The Sports Box Office specialise in obtaining hard to get tickets to sold out events. Through our many sources we are able to obtain a wide variety of tickets to almost any event in the UK and around the world. Due to the efforts and costs involved in providing you with hard to get tickets, all seats are sold at above face value, to reflect the related costs incurred.
Tickets for all major events are subject to acceptable availability. Due to the nature of the business, delivery of the tickets may be as late as the day of the event (i.e in some cases a venue collection), however the majority of orders (Premiership Football Tickets) are posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery within 3-5 days of the event taking place. Odd amounts of tickets cannot be guaranteed together, neither can rows or sections but we will do our best to obtain seats in as close proximity as possible. Order for more than 4 tickets for example If you buy 6 tickets from us then it can be 4 and 2 but we will try our best to put you in same block and section.
If you order Tickets and your address is outside the UK, we will ask you to provide a UK delivery address, be it a hotel, friend or family members address. This is to ensure that you receive the tickets in time, as tickets are usually issued very close to the event and this does not allow us time to send them to addresses outside the UK.
If you are a resident outside the UK, we will also ask you for some Personal Identification for varification purposes. If not provided to our full satisfaction, we will end the sale of the tickets. In doing so, we will make a charge to cover our processing and admin fees.If an event is cancelled, you will only be refunded less than 40% of the ticket.
By ticking our terms and conditions box, you agree that we may use personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks. Personal information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, which may keep a record of said information.
All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or cancellations of orders once confirmed. Upon request The Sports Box Office will agree to place your order on a "Try to sell" basis, if successful we will refund your money less handling fee of up to 30% of your order. The Sports Box Office does not have any control over these events and therefore we will not be held responsible for any costs incurred if the event is cancelled or rescheduled. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure the event is going ahead before travelling. All football games fixtures are subject to change which is decided by the football clubs themselves. Any fixture game change is beyond the control of The Sports Box Office, therefore we will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by the buyer due to this change, all tickets will remain valid for the new date. We will do our best to inform you of the date change, but The Sports Box Office does not accept liability if we are unable to contact you. It is the buyer's responsibility to check for any fixture changes up to and including the day of the game, with either ourselves or the club directly. If the game has been moved to other date or reschedule we don't do refunds, in exceptional cases if we do there will be 40% charge of the total amount.
Weather conditions may affect travel to and from the event and may cause a postponement or cancellation of the event. Such circumstances are beyond the control of The Sports Box Office and accordingly no refund for unused services, or allowance for the loss of enjoyment caused by weather conditions will be made by The Sports Box Office. If we are able to return the tickets to the promoter we may be able to offer a refund of the face value.
The company acts as the customers agent in making contracts with third parties for any road, rail, sea or air carriage, hotel accommodation, restaurant booking and other services not provided by the company. The company shall incur no liability whatsoever and the customer shall indemnify the company against any claim in connection with or arising from such contracts however such liability or claim shall arise and also if the date is changed for the fixture we are not liable for this.
The Sports Box Office shall not be held responsible for damages, delays, cancellation or unavailability of public or private transportation caused by an act of God, by war, riot, civil commotion, by an act of state, by strikes, fire, flood, restricted availability, or by the occurrence of any other event beyond the control our company.
If your first choice of ticket is not available, The Sports Box Office reserve the right to upgrade or downgrade (with a partial refund) the order to the next available category. All prices are quoted in Great British Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. In some cases we can offer refund less than 20% of the total amount you paid atleast 7 days before the game.If game is reschdeuled and you cannot make the game we can resell the tickets for you but in this case there will be 20% resell charges and you will remain in credit with us for the next season game.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
Once the tickets have been received please check them on delivery as mistakes cannot be rectified at a later date. The Sports Box Office will not be held responsible for lost or stolen tickets, and we regret that we cannot under any circumstances issue duplicate tickets. All sales are final with the exception of an event being cancelled, in which case only the face value will be refunded.

This is a term for when the contract has been broken by us or by you. If we break the contract we will compensate you by:
- Offering you a full refund.
If you break the contract we will offer you the opportunity to resell your tickets via our Exchange If we can resell your tickets we will deduct our reasonable costs and refund you the difference. We will not profit twice from the same contract.
You Simply Change Your Mind
If we have fulfilled our part of the contract and you simply change your mind we can offer you the chance to sell your tickets via our Exchange.
Payments And Deposits Paid To Us
Prices include all our charges. The handling and delivery charge may be shown separately.
In the event that you wish to cancel for whatever reason the following conditions will apply:
- At any time we will attempt to resell your tickets. We have a duty to minimise our loss as a result of you cancelling. Our compensation will be no more than a reasonable pre-estimate of this loss to us.

a) (UK deliveries) Royal Mail Special delivery which requires a signature
b) (Overseas) Fedex/ UPS/ DHL which requires a signautre - extra costs to be incurred by the consumer
c) Arrange for a courier to hand deliver the tickets to the address that you have given us.
We advise you, that when you receive your tickets, check to make sure they are exactly what you ordered. If we made a mistake, please contact us as soon as is reasonably practicable so that we can rectify our mistake as quickly as possible. Any postal costs incurred we will refund to you.
Please note that as football tickets are not issued until the week of the game, if you reside outside the UK and purchase football tickets, we will ask you to provide a Uk delivery address such as a hotel, friends or relatives address within the UK of which the football tickets will be despatched to.
All other tickets such as rugby, cricket etc will be desptached accotding to the above methods. please expect all tickets to arrive 3-5 days prior to the event date.
Once tickets have been despatched, if the consumer is not at the address provided, Royal Mail will leave a calling card. At this point The Sports Box Office have fulfilled the contract and delivered the tickets. The consumer is now liable for receipt of the tickets and should arrange to go to the postal sorting office and sign for the tickets there.
If, in exceptional circumstances we cannot send the tickets by courier you will not be charged for that type of delivery.
*Delivery Exceptional Circumstances* - may mean we are unable to send the tickets to you because the tickets may arrive to us later than we expect, (sometimes we are not in receipt of the tickets as they may not have been released by our supplier or even printed.) We may inform you that we will meet you at the venue and hand you your tickets then, again, this will not incur a delivery charge and you will receive a refund of any delivery charge.)
