This fixture was a very tough one for both of the teams last season as West Ham wanted to beat the Gunners on there home ground two years in a row and Arsenal dont want that to be the outcome. Arsenal were the team that managed break through the oppositions defence to socre, so they claimed the three points. Im sure that this years meeting between these teams wont be a let down as the last few meetings between them have been cracking games.

Arsenal Fc were founded in 1886, though they won their first major trophies in the 1930s, with five League Championship titles and two FA Cups. After a lean period in the post-war years they became the second club of the 20th century to win the duble in 1970-71, and during the past twenty years they have been one of the most successful clubs in English football – in that time Arsenal won two more doubles, the Premier League in 03-0, and in 05-06 became the first london team to reach the champions league final. They also had an amazing 49 game unbeat run as well, the longest in history.

West Ham United were founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks. The hammers have spent their entire league career in the top two divisions and have been FA Cup winners three times. In 1965, they won the Cup Winners Cup, and in 1999 they won the Intertoto Cup. They also won the first War Cup in 1940. The club's best final league position is third place in 1985-86. West Ham currently holds the recored of being the only team to breach the 40 point boundary Premier League season and still be relegated.
