After a bad spell during the 1990s, Manchester City FC is rapidly regaining its old form. Their promotion to the Premier League in 2002 was immediately crowned with qualification for the 2003 UEFA Cup tournament, their first in 25 years. Since 2005, the club has been managed by Stuart Pearce. With their current line-up and management, Manchester City could well be a serious contender for a UEFA Cup position this year.
